The Baby is Coming….
Well, today (Tuesday,) the doctor told us that he’d like to induce Kirsten’s labor on Thursday — much to my surprise. Apparently, he’s concerned that the baby’s umbilical cord is wrapped around the back of its neck. He told us that this condition results in a still-born baby in 1 of 500 cases, so he’d rather not wait any longer than necessary.
Kirsten and I were somewhat taken aback by his proposal, for mixed reasons. I was just taken by surprise and hadn’t yet had time to think about it. Kirsten was concerned about the fact that usually induced labors last longer than non-induced. So, we talked about it.
The thing is, we had decided well before getting pregnant, that we wanted children to have an influence on a whole other generation, not for our own fuzzy feelings. So, when it came down to whether or not to have a less pleasant birth experience versus having a healthy baby — the choice was already made.
So, we’re having the baby on Thursday (or Friday, if it takes that long.) Please pray for a successful delivery!

“How blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who greatly delights in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on Earth.
— Psalm 112:1-2
Grace to you guys. Kinda like Christmas, huh?
Kirsten, Vicki says try not to grip Tony’s arm so tight that it bleeds.
“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
– Psalm 127:3
This child is a sign of God’s love for you.
