That’s Number Seven
No, I don’t mean seven mice caught in mouse traps, though that’s also the number in our neighborhood during this last week.
Seven is the number of hard drives I’ve had fail in the last two years. Yes, seven. The most recent was the one that hosts this blog, planetrock, and also serves as my office workstation. It is a powermac G5, and on Monday, its hard drive crashed. You probably noticed planetrock being down. That was why.
I have a new hard drive, and fortunately, backups. It’s all good.
Let my life be a lesson to you. Backup your data! Eventually, every hard drive fails.
