In case you haven’t already heard…

So, I think the word is starting to get out about this without me making an electronic announcement…But, if the grapevine hasn’t made it to you yet, here it is: I’m pregnant!

I’m almost 11 weeks along, so I’ll be due around March 22nd.  We had our first doctor’s appointment yesterday and everything looks good so far.  We even got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for a few seconds.  I’ve been somewhat sick for the past six weeks or so, but I think it is starting to improve.

My morning sickness has been following a different pattern than last time. When I was pregnant with Madeline I got sick once a day and only once a day.  If  I managed to throw up first thing in the morning with a basically empty stomach, I would be done being sick for the day.  It’s been a lot more unpredictable this time.  I’ve been queasy at all hours of the day or night — different times on different days. I don’t throw up as often, and if I do it is no guarantee I won’t throw up again later.  Right now I have a little bit of a cough/cold, and the worst part about that is I have several times in the past week coughed so hard I made myself throw up.  Yuck.

So, based on the different symptoms, I am going to predict that we will have a boy this time.  We’re the “find out the gender at the ultrasound” types, so we’ll know in a couple months if I am right or not. I will definitely be excited for either.

I think one of things I am most excited about in being pregnant again is that I get to wear my maternity clothes again.  As strange as that sounds, I think I almost like my maternity wardrobe better than my regular wardrobe.  Thanks to some bargain purchases last time around and gifts/hand-me-downs from friends, I have some pretty sweet stuff I look forward to wearing.

PlanetRock is moving!

It’s true!

Needless to say, a larger company with a real future in the online community of Ames, IA (and surrounding areas) has made an offer that I couldn’t refuse.

So, I sold out.

PlanetRock can now be found at the redesigned Rock ISU web site. (If it doesn’t look new, try refreshing it later in the day.)

Complaints can be sent to the new management.
