    Wow…I’ve got to hand it to the guy for his total commitment. That video is like 5 minutes long.

    It’s at the Ig Nobel awards (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20071005-ig-nobels-go-to-sword-swallowing-gay-bomb.html). The awards are put on the by Annals of Improbable Research (www.improbable.com).

    Mostly, it’s just a bunch of scientists having fun.

    No, I was not at the awards ceremony, though I do think it would be fun to go sometime. I found the video from the arstechnica.com link that I mentioned above, though I do read the Annals of Improbable Research from time to time.

    The thing that I find funniest about the video is that many scientific presentations are just about that informative for someone who doesn’t work in the field.
